Tuan Haji Sharriffudin Ahmad Taff has 30 years of working experience where he began his career at the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) as an Economist from 1976 to 1977. In 1977, he joined Kumpulan Fima Berhad (FIMA), where he worked for 8 years initially as a Project Analyst. At FIMA, he held various positions. His final position was a Deputy General Manager of FIMA Instanco Food Packaging Industries Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company owned by FIMA. In 1985, he left FIMA to join Koperasi Angkatan Tentera Malaysia Berhad (KT) where he spent 21 years of his working life as a General Manager and eventually, a CEO.
The areas of his responsibility at KT covered the overall operations of KT and the overseeing and monitoring of KT group of companies. During his tenure at KT, Quality Management system (QMS) under the quality certification of MS ISO 9001:2000 was introduced in 2004. Upon his retirement from KT in September 2006, KT had achieved a net profit of RM62.7 million before tax contributing to members’ funds of RM442.6 million and gross assets of RM717.5 million.
